keeping it fair

Terms of Use

By using Bookie you agree to these terms. We've kept them short and human. Last updated May 29, 2026.

1. What Bookie is

Bookie is a mobile app that saves links and uses automated tools to generate short summaries, tags and thumbnails so you can remember why you saved them. It also lets you keep private notes, folders and to-dos, all stored on your device.

2. Using the app fairly

  • Only save and summarise links you’re allowed to access.
  • Don’t use Bookie to break the law, infringe someone’s rights, or collect content you have no right to.
  • Don’t abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the summarising service or the app.

3. About the summaries

Summaries, tags and thumbnails are generated automatically and provided on a best-effort basis. They can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, and they may not reflect the views of the original author. Always check the original source before relying on anything important. Bookie is a memory aid, not a substitute for reading the source.

4. Your content

The bookmarks, notes, folders and to-dos you create are yours. They’re stored locally on your device, and you’re responsible for backing up your device if you want to keep them. We don’t claim ownership of anything you save.

5. Our brand

The Bookie name, logo and app design belong to us. These terms don’t give you the right to use them without permission.

6. Availability & changes

Bookie is offered as-is and may evolve, change features, or have occasional downtime. We may update the app and these terms over time; continuing to use Bookie after an update means you accept the revised terms.

7. Disclaimer & liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookie is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app or reliance on its summaries — including lost data if you uninstall the app or lose your device.
